What to Measure
Your “real inseam” -- or inside leg length -- is the distance between your body where it sits on your bike saddle and the ground.
This will typically be an inch or two longer than the length of your trousers, but you’ll want to measure to be sure.
You’ll use this number on the chart to get a feel for how the different models will fit you.
How to Measure
Gather the tools needed:
- Medium-width hardcover book
- Tape measure
- A wall you can stand against
- A trusted friend or relative
Wearing your regular riding shoes and with your back to the wall, stand with your feet spread so there is about 7 inches between them - this is about the distance apart your feet would be when straddling a bike with your feet on the ground (standover height).
Place a hardcover book against the wall with the spine of the book facing upward. Slide the book upwards towards your groin until it is solidly against your body. This may be a bit awkward, but is way more comfortable -- and safer! -- than trying to ride a bike that is too big.
If you have a buddy helping you, get them to measure from the floor to the top of the book spine while you hold the book in place. If you’re going it alone, carefully hold the book in place and measure from the ground to the top of the book spine.
Made from a layer of aramid and ceramic particles inside the tire under the tread, the Kenda K-Shield integrated tire liner is a line of defense designed to provide extra protection against punctures from thorns, glass, and other small materials.
7-Speed, 11-34 Tooth Freewheel
A wider range of gearing at your disposal means more torque for treacherous uphill climbs and maintain pedal authority at top speed.
Reflective Sidewall Striping
Extremely durable and have a larger total reflective surface and better visibility than traditional spoke mounted reflectors.
Integrated Brake Light
Powered using the main battery pack and features brake light functionality that is activated any time the brakes are applied.
Twist Grip Throttle
750W of power on-demand.
Front Suspension Fork
Our custom Rad Power Bikes RST suspension fork has 60 mm of travel, preload adjustment, and lockout.
Robust Hinge Mechanism
The primary folding hinge has multiple safety redundancies to help prevent accidental unlatching and ensure the RadMini feels solid and secure when locked properly.
Folding, Telescoping Handlebar Stem
Raise or lower the handlebar stem to your desired comfort level and take advantage of the folding hinge to make the RadMini as small as possible for storage.
A fuel gauge for your electrons.
Pedal Assist Level
The higher the number, the more the motor will boost you when you pedal.
5V, 1 Amp port to charge your phone or portable electronics on the go.
Calculate how many miles you didn't drive this year and how much money you saved on gas.
Can be set to current speed, max speed, or average speed.
Shows how much power the motor is outputting at any given time.
The Rad Battery Pack
With over a decade of designing and building ebikes under our belts, we know that a high-capacity battery like this isn’t something you cheap out on. We designed and built our batteries using genuine Samsung 35E cells, which are some of the most energy-dense and reliable lithium-ion cells on the market today. These cells have allowed us to build an overall better battery, and at only 7.7 lb, it's one of the lightest and most energy-dense packs on any electric bike.

Compact, Discreet, Maintenance-Free Hub Motor
With 750W and 80 Nm of torque at your disposal, this Bafang geared hub motor is what is going to help power you up steep inclines and get you up to top speed quickly from a dead stop, all while remaining quiet and inconspicuous. These kinds of numbers aren't even found on some of the most expensive mid drive systems out there, so prepare to outperform and outclass everyone you see on the road.

"You may assume the RadMini holds a niche spot in the ebike world; that of a folding electric bike that also has big fat off-road tires. However the RadMini is able to break out of this box and into mainstream appeal by proving itself so useful and safe."

The RadMini Step-Thru 2 is a great option if you want many of the same features as the RadMini but with a much lower stand over height.
My new rad is so much fun! I live out in the country with dirt roads and the fat tires are perfect in the dirt. Hills are no longer a struggle as I am a cancer patient with less strength then I used to have. I have a smile on my face everytime I go for a spin.
I’ve done lots a research on the best ebike for me and the sturdiness and quality of the Rad was a perfect fit.
I purchased the black rad mini because it was a bit taller in frame as I am 5’10” (and 56yrs old) and I liked the smaller reach on handlebars compared to other models.
I’m in my 70s and have some disabilities, but I still need exercise and the outdoors. This bike is just what I need and I love it. I picked it up in Seattle and brought it home, but found they had not adjusted the breaks. I’m also having trouble getting a full charge on the battery. I will call support.
I have both Rad Mini folding bike for our road trips. They are fun at beaches and trails. Also great for city rides. Fit in the hatch nicely, a little to heavy for my wife to load/unload and battery is a little tricky to remove and install. All in all we are happy with these cycles.
I look forward to riding the bike everyday. Puts a smile on your face. (Especially the uphills!).
I have a lot of hills where I live and the RadMini makes it so much easier to climb them. I've basically replaced my car with my Rad. For some of my shorter trips, it takes about the same amount of time thanks to the motor on the bike. I live in the city and it's so nice to park and not have to pay. I almost got the Radrover and I'm glad I didn't because I don't know if I could get it on the elevator of my building. And being able to fold the Mini makes it a lot easier if you live in a small place as I do.
Great bikes. We ride them everywhere.
Have been enjoying getting out into the wide open spaces on my new RamMini Fat Bike Version 4. There is plenty of power available to take all hills and, for a senior, has renewed my love of biking. New users, however, should be cautioned to learn how their bike handles on various road and trail surfaces, wear a helmet and gloves at all times, and limit their speeds. These bikes are heavy and can be difficult to handle, depending on circumstances. But once you learn how to ride and handle the bike, you are in for some really good times.
Have rode the bikes for a while now, and have found that exercising a lot of care is important. Many fragile and delicate parts on them, so padding them in transport is valuable. Discovered a few ways after loading and unloading, that make that easier. Fun to ride, more delicate to care for than an ordinary bike.
This bike is so helpful with Seattle hills. I used to get home covered in sweat on my normal bike. It's so nice to put the RadMini into level 5 pedal assist and power up the evil hills!
