Only problem is it squeaks from the front wheel area. Not sure if it is possibly the front shocks.
Tricked mine out to be more of a mountain bike. Went Black Diamond single track, thing came out unscathed and with flying colors. R5 is a tank ?? ....Thank you
Very pleased with the quality and comfortable ride. Had an issue with the tail light not working but got great assistance from the support team and the problem was resolved. The pedal assist is really great and allows for an extended ride without being worn out. All around a great product.
Love this bike so much. I bought the whole family one.
I didn't expect this Bike to be so powerful. Getting use to it. Love it....
Good ride, good stud locations, cheap-o bell, seat is terrible, easy to accessorize, rear seat not useful (for me), rear foot rests way too narrow (ankle bruisers) and not really trustworthy for child. Motor very strong. Fenders nice, headlight strong, rear light adequate. Needs rear view mirror. Not likely to recommend this model as poor buy for the bucks.
My only complaint would be that it is heavy. Otherwise it has been great fun to ride!
As a senior citizen I was hesitant to try an electric bike and didn't know where to begin. After reading all the reviews, RadCity Electric Commuter 4 won out. And I couldn't be more satisfied. I now zoom around town wearing my helmet and enjoying the ride feeling safe and secure. The RadCity 4 is well-built and a dream to ride.
Absolutely love it and now that I bought a hitch I’m discovering bike trails all over New England
Bike is great. I prefer my city st since it seems to have more get up and go than the runner. They really need to find another seat for the runner. It is awful. Only 4 stars since I was expecting more torque and the seat sucks.
It arrived delivered to a stranger down the street. It is wrong color, scratched and the forks were put on backward. I question your QA dept. I requested a return and refund nearly a month ago on RADs form. I have not been contacted. I need a response se. THIS BIKE IS UNSATISFACTORY. It's sitting g in my garage unused. Do I need to file Small Claims Court to get a response?
Have been riding 10-26 miles each day. Enjoyable to go places I avoided because of hills in the past. I did have to replace the rock hard seat with a softer seat and coil spring shock seatpost. The 7 speeds and front shock had to be a tremendous improvement over the Radrunner 1.
I purchased a 21 speed bike recently that remained little used as I live in a hilly area and I hadn’t owned a bike in 40 years. With my rad city bike I am now able to get up all the hills. I love that I can use a much or as little power as needed so I still get great exercise.
I like the bike. Good bike for the money. Had problem with front brake rotor from the box. Took a week to get a long winded answer that did not help me. I will just deal with it .
I understand that sales are high and customer service is busy, but if a company can not supply prompt reliable service, then reduce sales, hire more workers or do something different. Likely your company is trying with service but your not where you should be I would however purchase this bike again
Great bike with good power and battery life. Compared to the Rover Step Through One, it is much more efficient for city riding but as you might suspect, not as good on trails. I would recommend this one for city riders.
Generally pleased with the RadRover 5 and have ridden over 100 miles a week since it arrived. Assembly was easy, especially after having watched the company's YouTube assembly video before the bike arrived. I wouldn't recommend the bike to anyone under 6 feet tall or persons not in strong physical condition as the bike is very heavy at 69 pounds. It is useful to give the throttle a twist from a stopped position to quickly gain balance; otherwise because of the bike's heavy weight it is difficult to get going by just pedaling. The Kenda Juggernaut rear tire was punctured the first week by a small twig and the inner tube needed to be replaced for $29 plus $10 labor. The company now informs of a manufacturing defect in the stem explaining the handlebars and front fork might become decoupled resulting in loss of control. Free replacement parts are being sent and the company will pay the local bike shop to perform required service. Hidden menu permits raising the factory-set top speed to 40 kph (~25 mph) and know that +20 mph seems really fast on this bike. The nubby all-terrain tires are predictably noisy but I expect they will serve well into early Minnesota snow cover. The bike is fun to ride. I look forward to going out everyday. Get some extra blinking lights and always wear a helmet.
Easy to assemble out of the box. Take time to learn about the basic functions and you're set to ride. I ride around our neighborhood every evening and wave or say hello
Have fun and enjoy your ride.
I have always loved riding bikes. Being from the Midwest I’m used to fairly flat terrain. Bike riding in Seattle has never been enjoyable for me because of all the hills. I get out of breath and am a huge sweaty mess just riding around the neighborhood. My Rad Runner Plus has “evened the playing field” for me. I can cruise around without having to worry about hills anymore. This bike is so fun to ride. It’s easy to operate, comfortable to sit on and super stylish! I’m a RAD fan for life.
I already have a regular RadRunner that I upgraded with the passenger seat, clear plastic shields, fenders, trunk, and pegs. So the difference is the color and the leather and the headlight and the display and the seven speed gears. I’d say the regular 1 speed is at equivalent of gear 3 to 4. I always leave the plus at 7 and use the throttle when I need it. The leather is sweet. The display is cute. The nicer headlight is cool but doesn’t seem significantly better than the original. The black on black regular RadRunner is awesome. The silver and brown leather is super sweet too. Don’t want to be negative but if you don’t care about feeling awesome about riding something more expensive and are doing most of the upgrades, get the regular RadRunner.
Both my wife and I love our bikes. It's fun and good exercise at the same time.
